The volunteers – Ed Kruczek is Bracknell Ale & Cider Festivals beer guy

As well as profiling the charities we’re supporting this year, highlighting the street food vendors and more, we thought it important to showcase some of the hard-working volunteers behind the scenes.

You might think it a dream role, but choosing the all the beer you get to drink at Bracknell Ale & Cider Festival is a tricky business, ensuring there’s plenty of variety, but there’s method to our man Ed Kruczek’s madness

Your name and role in the team: Ed Kruczek, in charge of Beer Selection & Ordering.

What’s your favourite part of the beer festival? The evening when I can relax with a beer!

How long have you been involved? 9 years

Favourite local venue? Nags Head, Reading

Favourite tipple? All the local beers [I know we should have pressed Ed for specifics but he’s right in the middle of ordering it all so we thought we’d back away slowly – don’t be shy in asking him on the day though!]

Favourite local festival? Reading Beer Festival. (When it’s on)

Anything else you’d like to say or promote? This event gets better and better each year! I can’t wait!
